FRC Week 4 Wrap-up: Putting it Together
It’s the beginning of the 5th week of the FIRST Robotics Competition, leaving us with a meager 2 more weeks to finish our build and start practicing. Luckily for us, we’re almost done with the former. The shooter, intake and lift are in the process of being tested and mounted, pushing us closer to the finish line. Thank you to all of our friends, family, parents, co-workers and mentors for supporting us every step of the way. A video of our shooter will be posted very soon.
Week 3 Update – It’s Alive!
After much work and collaboration, we have a working chassis! We’d like to extend our warmest aloha to all of our sponsors for helping HVR make it this far!
FIRST Drive System
As the week progresses so does our robot. This is our robots test drive system from January 15th. We are still currently working on the prototype of the main scorer for the robot. A video on it will be uploaded soon!
F.I.R.S.T. Kick Off
The FIRST season has begun! As the day progresses we are feeling more confident in the outcome of our robot. Design has been thoroughly discussed and the planning has been set. The next six weeks will be hectic and challenging, but it shall also be a great learning experience for all of our members.
Camp Eureka Winter 2011 Recap
All in all, the Hilo Viking Robotics club considers the past camp a great success. All of the kids exceeded our expectations tremendously, producing creative robots that never ceased to amaze us. We’d like to thank all of the parents for supporting our program and your child’s love for robotics. Mahalo nui loa, and hope to see you again soon!
