This weekend, HVR hosted the East Hawaii First Lego League Tournament where teams from East Hawaii came to show off their robots and teamwork to the judges. FLL is composed of four main parts: a teamwork challenge, a project, robot design, and finally, the robot competition. The teamwork challenge focuses on how well FLL teams work together as both friends and coworkers. The project is focused on that years FLL theme and has students conduct research and develop a solution to a real world problem. Finally, the robot design and competition focus on the robot itself. The robot design allows teams to explain why the built and programmed their robot the way they did while the competition lets teams perform with their robot. Although all of this years FLL teams performed very well we would like to congratulate PoiBotz and Roboteers for making it to states. We wish all of you good luck and hope to see you at next years FLL competition.
