HVR Takes Over Hawaii Con!

Last Saturday, September 13th, HVR had the opportunity to conduct a robotics workshop at Hawaii Con, which was held at the Hapuna Prince Hotel. Our workshop consisted of a presentation of our club, followed by an interactive build session for our audience to put together their very own VEX IQ robot, similarly to what we do at our Camp Eureka’s. You can also find more information about HawaiiCon here.

At the end of the workshop we had a small competition to see who can use their robot to score the most tennis balls in a bin.

NASA Mohawk Guy

We even had the chance to talk with Bobak Ferdowsi, a NASA engineer deeply involved in the recent Curiosity mission on Mars. He is commonly known as the “NASA Mohawk Guy”

In addition to our workshop we had a station to display our robots, our activities, and our accomplishments.
