FIRST means: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to become leaders in the fields of science and technology. They engage students into exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that create well-rounded life values including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
The FIRST vision is, “To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrate and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.”

The FIRST Robotics Competition celebrates its 21th Year Anniversary this 2012 Season.

The game for 2012 is called: Rebound. The objective of the game is to place basketball game pieces into scoring hoops. Please click here for more information.
